Book Plate Program
The Book Plate Program is a fundraiser organized through the Halifax Regional Centre for Education , offered to schools who wish to participate. The program provides an alternative for families wishing to recognize someone special.
Instead of purchasing a gift, a student or family donate money to purchase a book for the library. A commemorative Book Plate is then placed in each book recognizing the donation.
In this way, donations increase the permanent book collection with current authors and titles, for staff and students to enjoy.

Actual Book Plate |
If you wish to participate, send an envelope to the attention of Mrs. Dey: Book Plate to school with your child. Please include your donation and the following information inside.
A card will be provided for your child to present to her special someone indicating the gift of a Book Plate. When the book is purchased it will be given to your child first, to share with his teacher and family before it then becomes part of the Library collection and available for borrowing. |
